Community Medicine is a Branch of Medicine, which teaches and deals with Health Care Issues affecting Communities. Department goal is educating medical students to become community oriented primary health care physicians, through various academic, research and outreach activities. Department’s mission is to contribute to the development of Holistic Medical Professionals. This is achieved by “Classroom to Community” based training through Rural Health Training Centre & Urban Health Training Centre attached to the Department.
Outpatient Clinical, Speciality, Preventive, Curative services to the patients in the nearby areas
Basic laboratory services including estimation of haemoglobin, total and differential counts
Family survey, Field survey and Community survey by Undergraduate and postgraduate students
Counseling to patients , Periodic health education to the patients on need based topics
